Q - Who is eligible ?
A - All Yale employees
Q - What property types are eligible?
A - Single family homes, multi family, homes, investment properties.
Mortgage must be at least $130,000 to qualify for full benefits. Partial benefits are available for lesser mortgage amounts.
Q - What are the discounts and or benefits of this program?
A - Free appraisal (1- 4 family properties only) $300- $450 value (credited to you at closing)
Free home inspection or $300 credit to you for closing costs at closing - $300 value.
Q - Don't you simply increase the people's closing costs so there really are no true benefits?
A - No. This is a true benefit program. Since we have an arrangement with the Human Resources Department of Yale where they have agreed to promote our services, we save money on advertising and lead generation. In appreciation of this, we offer these discounts for the employees. We also advertise their business on our website. You may have seen discounts given to employees of other corporations for cell phone services, buyers clubs, health club discounts, etc. These discounts and promotion of the service enables the providers to reduce their charges and make money on volume business. If you use the group health care benefit available through your employment at Yale, you will pay less in premiums than you would getting the insurance coverage on your own. The employees get a benefit and the insurance provider also gets a benefit. This is a real benefit. We do not simply give money away for free to anybody. If you are an employee of Yale, you can take advantage of these discounts. If you are not en employee of Yale, then you cannot.
